Thanks to dermal fillers, we now have long-lasting, synthetic hyaluronic acid products which are made from non-animal sources and are safe to use in our skin to put back both volume and hydration, where needed. The placement of the hyaluronic acid gel will contour the cheekbone area to bring back that attractive facial profile, whilst also providing lift in the mid-face to correct minor sagging which presents in the jawline. Putting the structural support back into the cheeks with dermal fillers can achieve a significant anti-ageing result, rejuvenating the face.

BEFORE TREATMENT
When assessing any patient for dermal filler treatment, we will categorise them into three outcomes:

• Do they need volume replacement?
• Do they need lifting?
• Do they need contouring?

All make up will need to be removed prior to treatment, so please come ‘fresh faced’ if possible. Alcohol, aspirin, Ibuprofen and dietary supplements may all contribute to bruising and are best avoided 24 hours before your appointment. Treatment cannot be administered if there is an active skin infection, including acne or cold sores or if you are unwell, including colds, coughs, sore throats etc. Do contact the clinic to discuss any illness or new medicines prior to attending.

Please note our dermal filler comes with lidocaine within the syringe, alongside the hyaluronic acid, so has a built-in local anaesthetic to make the injections more comfortable.

AFTER TREATMENT
Patients can usually notice immediate results, but all patients will see results in 7 days.

Over time your body will naturally metabolise the synthetic hyaluronic acid so long-lasting results can be achieved with regular maintenance treatments. You can expect the results to last between 6 and 12 months, depending on the cheek correction required, patient lifestyle factors, and which specific product we use to treat the area. We only use high-quality, long-lasting fillers.

After the treatment, the positive effects of the treatment should be visible immediately, but can take 7 days for full effects and any swelling to subside. The effects of this treatment will last between 6 and 9 months.
